RUO Payment Processing Built Around the Underwriting File.
PeptidePay.ca is built for Canadian research-use peptide merchants that need more than a generic payment application. We help merchants present a clear, consistent business story — from product pages and inventory to policies, fulfilment and banking — so the file is easier for an underwriter to understand.
RUO is a business model, not a magic sentence.
Putting “Research Use Only” in a footer does not automatically make a merchant underwriting-ready. The product catalogue, copy, imagery, policies, marketing, support and fulfilment process should reinforce the same merchant profile.
The entire store becomes part of the review.
A strong RUO merchant is easy to understand. Products match the application. Inventory can actually ship. Policies are visible. Ownership and settlement banking make sense. Marketing does not tell a different story from the website.
Eight things we want to see before the file moves.
You do not need to be the biggest merchant in the market. You do need to look operational, coherent and ready to serve customers.
Live Website
Products, checkout, company information and contact details are complete and working.
RUO Positioning
Research-use presentation is clear and consistent throughout relevant customer touchpoints.
Inventory in Stock
Products shown for sale can actually be fulfilled within the stated shipping timeline.
Product Support
COAs or appropriate product documentation are organized and available where applicable.
Visible Policies
Shipping, refund, privacy and terms pages are accessible before the customer pays.
Customer Support
A working support channel exists to resolve shipment, refund and order questions quickly.
Business Match
Legal entity, website branding, ownership information and banking tell one coherent story.
Clean Catalogue
No SARMs, no surprise product categories and no material mismatch with the disclosed merchant profile.
What makes a file easier to understand — and what creates questions.
This is not about trying to “beat” underwriting. It is about eliminating preventable inconsistencies before the application is reviewed.
The merchant story lines up.
- RUO positioning is visible on relevant product pages.
- Descriptions focus on research context rather than consumer outcomes.
- Products shown online are actually available to fulfil.
- Shipping and refund policies reflect the real operating process.
- Contact and company information is easy for customers to find.
- Business name, ownership and banking information are consistent.
- The catalogue matches what the merchant disclosed during underwriting.
A disclaimer contradicts the rest of the site.
- Human-use, dosing or treatment-style claims appear beside an RUO disclaimer.
- Consumer-result marketing conflicts with the stated research-use profile.
- SARMs or other undisclosed categories appear in the catalogue.
- Products are sold even though the merchant cannot currently fulfil them.
- Refund, shipping or contact information is missing or unclear.
- Business identity, banking or website ownership does not line up.
- The merchant materially changes products after approval without review.
General underwriting-readiness guidance only. Final eligibility and acceptable product/marketing requirements are determined by the applicable processor, acquirer, card-network rules and underwriting decision.
Your product page is part of the underwriting file.
A reviewer should not have to guess what a SKU is, how it is positioned, whether it can ship or how customers get support. Clear pages reduce unnecessary questions.
Think like the person reviewing the merchant.
Open any product page and ask: What is this? How is it positioned? Is it available? What supports the product? How quickly can it ship? Where does the customer go for help? Does the rest of the website tell the same story?
CONSISTENT.
FULFILLABLE.

Approval is not the finish line. Stay inside the profile.
A strong merchant keeps the business that was approved recognizable over time. Operational discipline can matter just as much after launch as it did during underwriting.
Do not surprise the processor.
If the product mix materially changes, review the new category before selling it through the approved processing setup.
Ship what you sell.
Keep inventory, tracking and realistic delivery timelines under control. Customers become disputes when they cannot get answers.
Keep messaging aligned.
Your ads, email campaigns and product pages should not drift into a completely different business profile from the one that was approved.
Answer before they call the bank.
Fast customer support and sensible refund handling can prevent avoidable disputes and chargebacks.
Make charges recognizable.
Clear checkout branding and billing expectations help customers recognize the transaction when they review their statement.
Keep records organized.
Maintain the business, product and fulfilment records you may need if an acquirer or processor asks a follow-up question later.
From website review to processing-ready.
The goal is to get the merchant file organized before unnecessary questions begin bouncing back and forth.

Integrate + Launch

Built for the business after underwriting too.
Approval matters, but so does what happens once customers begin paying.
Questions research peptide merchants ask us.
What does RUO mean for payment processing?
RUO means Research Use Only. For payment underwriting, the merchant’s website, product presentation, marketing, policies, catalogue and operations should consistently support the merchant profile being presented. An RUO disclaimer by itself does not guarantee approval.
Can a new peptide company apply?
Yes. Startups can apply. A new merchant may not have processing statements yet, so website readiness, business documentation, inventory, fulfilment capability, banking and ownership information become especially important.
Do products need to be in stock before applying?
We strongly prefer the merchant to be operational and able to fulfil the products it is offering. A store that advertises products it cannot reasonably ship can create underwriting and customer-service concerns.
Does PeptidePay support SARMs?
The PeptidePay RUO program described on this site is not intended for SARMs. Merchants should disclose their actual product catalogue during underwriting and stay within the approved merchant profile.
Do I need COAs?
Product documentation requirements can vary. Where COAs or testing documentation are applicable to the merchant’s products, keeping them organized and consistent with the catalogue can strengthen the clarity of the underwriting file.
Can I make human-use or treatment claims if I also say RUO?
A disclaimer does not automatically cure contradictory website or marketing content. Product and marketing language should be consistent with the merchant profile being presented. Specific eligibility requirements are determined through underwriting and applicable processor/card-network rules.
Can PeptidePay fund in Canadian dollars?
CAD funding is part of the Canadian positioning. Eligible merchants may also have USD funding options depending on approval, banking and processing configuration.
Are there reserves?
PeptidePay promotes no-reserve structures for qualifying approved merchant profiles. Reserve requirements, if any, are ultimately determined by underwriting and the applicable processing arrangement, so this should not be treated as an unconditional guarantee.
Can I use WooCommerce?
Yes, PeptidePay supports a WooCommerce-focused integration path. API options are also available for merchants that require a custom integration, subject to the approved setup.
What happens if I add a new product category after approval?
Material catalogue changes should be reviewed before they are processed through the approved setup. Adding undisclosed or materially different products can create unnecessary processing and underwriting issues.
What usually slows down an RUO merchant review?
Common causes include incomplete websites, unclear product positioning, missing policies, products that are not ready to fulfil, inconsistent ownership or banking details, unexplained processing issues and a catalogue that does not match what was disclosed.
Where do I apply?
