NEW DOESN’T MEAN UNPREPARED

No processing history? That is not the whole story.

A startup may not have months of card-processing statements yet. Underwriting can still evaluate whether the business is real, understandable and ready to operate. Your website, inventory, policies, ownership information, banking and fulfillment plan become especially important when there is no historical processing file to review.

What can make a startup look strong.

Show underwriting that there is a real operating business behind the application.

  • Products are in stock or fulfillment is clearly established
  • Website is live, complete and consistent with the application
  • RUO positioning is clear across product and policy pages
  • Business ownership and banking information match
  • Shipping, tracking, refunds and customer support are organized

What makes a new file harder to understand.

Being new is not the problem. Looking unfinished or inconsistent can be.

  • Applying while the website still says “coming soon”
  • Taking orders for inventory that is not available to fulfill
  • Missing refund, shipping, privacy or terms pages
  • Human-use language mixed into an RUO storefront
  • Business name, bank account and website details that do not line up
WHAT A STARTUP ACTUALLY NEEDS

Get these pieces right before you submit.

You do not need to look like a ten-year-old company. You do need to look ready to take an order, ship it, support the customer and accurately represent what you sell.

📦

Inventory or fulfillment readiness

Your products should be genuinely available for sale and you should know how orders will be packed, shipped and tracked. Avoid building a payment account around products you cannot actually fulfill.

🌐

A complete live website

Product pages, contact information, checkout, shipping policy, refund policy, privacy policy and terms should be visible and consistent before underwriting reviews the store.

🔬

Clear RUO positioning

Research-use-only language should be prominent and consistent. Avoid dosage, therapeutic, bodybuilding or other human-consumption claims that conflict with the submitted merchant profile.

🏢

Business information

Have the legal business name, registration or incorporation details, operating address and ownership information ready for KYB/KYC review.

🏦

Business banking

Use a business bank account that matches the entity applying. Funding configuration can then be reviewed for CAD and, where eligible and supported, USD settlement.

💬

Customer support

Use a real support email or contact method and have a plan for shipment questions, refunds and disputes. Responsiveness matters once transactions start.

And here is what you do NOT need just because you are new.

Years in businessA startup can apply without pretending to be established.
Old processing statementsIf you have never processed before, there may be no statements to provide.
Huge monthly volumeThe startup program is specifically designed for lower initial volume.
A custom-built platformWooCommerce and API paths can support different technical setups.
THE LAUNCH-READY CHECK

Before Boardvia, make sure the business is easy to approve and easy to understand.

Think of this as your pre-flight check. It is not about making the company look bigger than it is. It is about removing unnecessary questions before underwriting sees the application.

Six green lights we want to see before a startup presses submit.

Final approval and account terms remain subject to underwriting, but a cleaner file gives the reviewer a clearer picture of the merchant.

✓

Products are real and available

Inventory, supplier or fulfillment arrangements make sense for the products displayed.

✓

The website is finished

No broken checkout, placeholder copy or critical missing policy pages.

✓

RUO language is consistent

The storefront does not undermine its research-use-only positioning elsewhere on the site.

✓

Entity + banking match

The company applying is the company represented on the website and bank information.

✓

Fulfillment is planned

You know how fast you ship, how tracking is provided and how delays are handled.

✓

Someone answers customers

Customers have a legitimate way to reach the business when something goes wrong.

BEFORE YOU SPEND ON TRAFFIC

Do not build demand faster than you can fulfill it.

This is slightly bigger than payment processing, but it matters. A startup can create unnecessary refunds and disputes by driving traffic before inventory, shipping and support are ready for the volume.

STARTUP RULE

DON’T BUY TRAFFIC TO A HALF-FINISHED STORE.

Get the operating side right first. Payment processing works best when the customer experience behind the transaction is already built.

📦 Confirm inventory before the campaign.Make sure promoted products can actually be shipped when orders arrive.
🚚 Know your real shipping times.Promise what the operation can deliver, then provide tracking promptly.
💬 Prepare support before the inbox fills.A customer who gets a quick answer is less likely to jump directly to a dispute.
↩ Make refunds understandable.Clear refund terms reduce confusion and give support a consistent way to handle requests.
HOW A STARTUP GETS LIVE

Four steps from application to taking payments.

The exact timeline depends on the merchant file, underwriting questions and integration, but the path itself is straightforward.

01

Prepare the store

Finish the website, confirm inventory, clean up RUO positioning and make sure business information and policies are complete.

02

Apply through Boardvia

Submit the business and owner information requested for KYB/KYC and underwriting review.

03

Complete underwriting

Respond to any questions about the website, products, banking, fulfillment or business model. Final terms are confirmed at approval.

04

Integrate + launch

Connect the approved payment path to the store, test the checkout and begin processing once the account is ready for live transactions.

STARTUP PRICING

A starting tier built for merchants before the big volume arrives.

You asked us to keep pricing simple and transparent. The startup tier is based on monthly processing volume, while final merchant approval and account terms are confirmed through underwriting.

What the startup path is designed to give you.

The point is not to force a new merchant to look like an established processor. It is to give a prepared startup a category-specific route to card acceptance and an infrastructure that can grow with the business.

  • RUO peptide merchant focus
  • Visa + Mastercard acceptance
  • AMEX where enabled
  • A Pay + G Pay where supported
  • CAD funding
  • Eligible USD funding configuration
  • WooCommerce integration path
  • API integration path
  • Human underwriting
  • Ability to move into lower percentage tiers as qualifying volume grows

YOUR FIRST 30 DAYS

Getting approved is the beginning. Operating cleanly is what comes next.

The habits you build from the first orders can influence refunds, disputes and customer confidence. Start with the same discipline you want the business to have at higher volume.

FULFILLMENT

Ship quickly and track everything.

Keep inventory status accurate, get orders moving, send tracking and document exceptions instead of letting customers wonder where the order is.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Answer before frustration becomes a dispute.

Watch support channels, make the billing identity understandable and handle reasonable refund requests consistently with your published policy.

CONSISTENCY

Do not change the business overnight.

Keep the products, website and marketing aligned with the merchant profile that was reviewed. New categories should be confirmed before going live.

COMMON STARTUP MISTAKES

Small issues can create big underwriting questions.

Most of these are preventable. Fixing them before the application is much easier than explaining them after a reviewer finds them.

×

Applying too early

The site is unfinished, policies are missing or products are not ready to ship.

×

Mixing RUO with human-use claims

Research-only language on one page does not fix contradictory treatment or dosage language elsewhere.

×

Using mismatched business details

The website, entity, owner information and bank account should tell the same story.

×

Launching ads before fulfillment is ready

Unexpected order volume can quickly become shipping delays, refunds and disputes.

×

Adding SARMs or surprise categories

The PeptidePay.ca program is built around qualifying RUO peptide merchants, not an unrestricted high-risk catalog.

×

Ignoring support after checkout

Payment processing does not end at authorization. Customers need help after the sale too.

STARTUP FAQ

Questions new peptide merchants ask before applying.

Can a brand-new peptide company apply for payment processing?

Yes. PeptidePay.ca accepts applications from qualifying new Canadian RUO peptide businesses. A startup without processing history should be prepared to show a complete website, real business information, banking, inventory or fulfillment readiness, customer policies and a clear research-use-only business model. Approval remains subject to underwriting.

Do I need previous processing statements?

No, not if the business has never processed cards before. Existing merchants may be asked for statements, but a true startup can be reviewed using the information available about the business, owners, website, products, banking and operating plan.

Does my website need to be finished before I apply?

It should be substantially complete and reviewable. Underwriting needs to understand what customers will see, what products are sold, how checkout works and what policies govern shipping, refunds, privacy and terms.

Do my products need to be in stock?

The business should be able to demonstrate credible inventory or fulfillment readiness for the products it offers. Taking payment for products that cannot be fulfilled can create customer-service and dispute problems.

Can I sell SARMs through the startup program?

No. The PeptidePay.ca program described on this site is focused on qualifying research-use-only peptide merchants and is not intended for SARMs.

Can the website include dosage or human-use information?

The merchant profile is built around research-use-only positioning. Human-consumption, therapeutic, dosage or bodybuilding claims can conflict with that positioning and may create underwriting issues.

What is the startup processing rate?

The published startup tier is 16.49% for monthly processing volume up to $50K. Final approval, supported payment methods, funding configuration and other account terms are confirmed through underwriting.

Is there a reserve?

The advertised program is built around no routine reserve for qualifying approved merchants. Final merchant terms are determined during underwriting, so the approved account documentation controls.

Can a startup receive CAD funding?

CAD funding is part of the Canadian program for qualifying approved accounts. Eligible merchants may also be able to configure USD funding where supported by the account and banking setup.

Can I use WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce is one of the integration paths supported by the program. Custom businesses can also use an API route when appropriate.

Should I start advertising before the merchant account is ready?

It is better to make sure the website, inventory, fulfillment, customer support and payment path are ready before intentionally driving large amounts of traffic. Demand without operational readiness can create avoidable customer problems.

What happens when my startup grows past $50K per month?

PeptidePay.ca has additional published volume tiers for growing and high-volume merchants. Visit the Pricing page for the current tier structure. Movement between tiers and account terms should be confirmed with the merchant program.
